Welcome to my new blog

I thought I'd create a new website that focuses primarily on a writing-related blogs as my other site's blog is a bit more eclectic with posts ranging from poker to politics to YouTube to cereal (quite eclectic, much like my poetry.)

Thus, here, I plan to offer words of wisdom and encouragement for those who are endeavoring to write, those who are looking for new ideas, and those who have nothing better to do than read my words. I will share humorous anecdotes, detail my struggle with writer's block, and provide resources for writers who might be interested.

And yes, I know most people (myself included) do not write with paper and #2 pencil anymore (that is, unless one is in elementary school; however, mechanical pencils and computers are now the norm), but I thought this photo was quite apropos and nostalgic. I still have several pencil sharpeners which I now use for my eyeliners (since I am liquid eyeliner-challenged.)
